Chicken Skin!

Oh my god! I just realised that I had this skin disease called Keratosis Pilaris! Keratosis pilaris (KP) resembles goosebumps in appearance, but is characterized by the appearance of small rough bumps on the skin. Primarily, it appears on the back and outer sides of the upper arms, but can also occur on thighs and buttocks or any body part except palms or soles.
It is a kind of hereditary skin disorder. Ah well, it's not as big deal as it seems but I need to really find out who I inherit from!?! I now have to constantly apply moisturizers and reduce on bathing in hot showers! Well I do really hope it'll go away soon, it cannot be cured but will just eventually go away. *sigh* I now can sleep well, have been having sleepless night about it for a while.
Oh I am not telling you where in my body part has it right?

Ikebana Flower Exhibition

I went to this Ikebana Exhibition at the "G" Hotel recently in August 23rd, 2008. It was held there as part of a charity function. Well, I bought the ticket and went there equip with my cute camera. Well, as I am a lover for all things art, so it kinda always gives me inspiration to create things. Here are some simple pictures for you to have a glimpse of the exhibition. Enjoy!

This is my favourite piece of art. Love the colours and textures. It looks so harmonious and unpretentious. Simple and elegant, I would say.
Last but not least this one fills with vibrant colours and shapes. Quite fascinating overall.

Kuda Kepang Mabuk

Inconjuction with all the celebrations, there is this performance from the state of Johor; The Kuda Kepang Mabuk performance lasted for about 3 hours in the Little Penang Street Market on the July 27th 2008 has drawn many crowds. Bedak Kid was there too with his family. He ask me lots of questions that I could not answer him, as I was not familiar with the culture dance too. Anyhow, I took some pictures here to show the music intruments and the costumes with the various performances too. It is a story about the "Kuda" which is horses that were drunk after drinking coconut water. Interesting!

GeorgeTown, Penang UNESCO listed!

Penangites are celebrating the Georgetown World Heritage Site. As we are now listed in UNESCO, lots of people around the world will know where Penang is located. Suddenly, a lot of people will be eyeing on to us. Like how people know of "Angkor Wat, Siam Reap".
Well, we are in the heritage list. That shows how rich the culture of Malacca and Penang is. Due to both cities's historical background there is a need to preserve it or else all will be lost in time to come. I am doing my small part in promoting it although I know most Penangites would love developments....... still Penang has always been tourists driven. Now is just that more people will know about it, that's all.
So come celebrate together on this coming 25th-27th July, 2008. It's gonna be fun! See you all there!
